The book itself reads as a college thesis paper and tends to be dry at times, and repetitive. Also the author does not appear to be a historian of any sort and there is no author information page or reason for which we should take her interpretation as fact. Finding sources for the period is difficult so seeing them presented as a unit was extremely refreshing. In the positive category is inclusion of her source material in the appendix. This book has a couple things for it and against it.
